(Early life)

            My topic is about a skier who changed the thought of Canadians. That skier is Alexandre Bilodeau. Alexandre Bilodeau was born in September 8, 1987. He was born in Rosemere Quebec. Alexandre is 23 years old. Alexandre’s parents are Serge Bilodeau and Sylvie Michaud. Alexandre has two siblings.  Alexandre has one older than him and one younger. His older sibling is his brother Friedrich Bilodeau and his younger sibling is his sister Beatrice Bilodeau. His brother is 27 years old and his sister is 16 years old. When Alexandre was younger his brother his sister and he always went to the rink. His mom got tired or always driving them there and picking them up so she asked Alexandre if he wanted to sign up for moguls and try it out sometime. After Alexandre thought about it he put down hockey and tried moguls. Now look where he is.

(Later life)

Alexandre has a lot of training in his life. Some people might say why is he training he is really good he doesn’t have to. But people got to know everyone needs practice. Alexandre Bilodeau has been doing moguls since he was seven years old. Alexandre is really good at what he does and he has a lot of stuff to show that he is. In 2006 Alexandre Bilodeau came in 11^th place in moguls at the winter Olympics. In 2009 in the world skiing championship Alexandre came in 9^th place but came in 1^st place in the dual moguls at the same championship. In 2010 he won a gold medal for free style skiing and he is the first ever Canadian to win Olympic gold on Canadian soil.

Alexandre And his brother Friedrich are very close. When Friedrich was born he was born with something called cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is permanent damage to the brain when you are born.  The palsy part in Cerebral palsy means disability to move body parts. He also has some problems with posture. Posture is the disability of sitting up straight. If you have good posture you sit up fine and don’t sag in a direction. But if you have bad posture you tend to sag in directions and have troubles sitting up and standing up. The cerebral part in cerebral palsy is the brain damage part. Cerebral means brain damage and you get it at birth. Cerebral palsy gives a person disabilities and incapability’s.

Symptoms or cerebral palsy

·        Has difficulty feeding

·        Lies down in awkward positions.

·        Can be easily startled.

·        Favors one side of the body over the other.

Alexandre’s brother never complains. Alexandre said “My brother never complains about his disabilities and incapability’s so when you see someone with his condition and never complaining you stop complaining and then say I can be champion”. Alexandre also said “My brother Friedrich is my biggest inspiration”. Alexandre now supports the Cerebral palsy association in Quebec.

(Other stuff)

            Besides Alexandre’s skiing career he also likes to play the piano. Alexandre listens to a lot of music but his favourite music is classic music and country music. If Alexandre wasn’t an athlete he would love to be a fighter jet pilot. Alexandre’s skiing coach for the moguls is Dominick Gauthier. Alexandre in 2006 was named the rookie of the year and he got an award.

What has Alexandre Bilodeau done for Canadian heritage? What Alexandre has done was huge for Canada. Alexandre was the first ever Canadian to win Olympic gold on Canadian soil. Usually when people win they don’t talk to anyone they just tell them to get out of their faces. Mostly everyone but not Alexandre. When Alexandre won he ran right to his brother Friedrich. When Alexandre won he let the press talk to him and ask him stuff when most people would just tell them to leave them. So what has Alexandre Bilodeau done to the Canadian heritage? What Alexandre Bilodeau has done is win the first ever Olympic gold medal on Canadian soil being a Canadian. Alexandre also made other Canadian athletes think they can win the gold. Alexandre Bilodeau has made alot of Canadians happy by bringing them gold and then making other Olympic athletes get more confidence and bring more gold to Canada.

            Now how did Alexandre Bilodeau impact the Canadian heritage? He impacted the Canadian heritage when her was the first ever Canadian to win Olympic gold on Canadian soil. Alexandre made other Canadian athletes think they could win gold and be the next to win gold being a Canadian and winning it on Canadian soil. He also impacted the Canadian fans. By that I mean he made the fans more jumpy and more energetic and the fans now cheer the Canadian athletes on even more than before.

           

Comparing Ponyboy and Greg

      What I will be writing about today is similarities and differences between Ponyboy and Greg. Here they are.

      (Things that are different)
     There are lots of ways that Ponyboy and Greg are different. One Ponyboy's parents died in a car accident and now lives with his two older brothers. One of his older brothers is Sodapop and Darry. And Greg lives with his parents and his older brother and his younger brother. Ponyboy is a very loyal person to his friends and family. And Greg uses his best friend Rowley because he is getting more friends then him. Ponyboy is also a good friend and Greg on the other hand isn't a really good friend. All Greg wants is to be the most popular kid in middle school and he doesn't care who he hurts on the way even if it is his best friend.

     (Things that are the same)
     Ponyboy and Greg have alot of things that are the same. Ponyboy and Greg always over think things. They both also want to try to just fit in with there piers. Ponyboy wants to try and fit in to his gang while Greg wants to fit in at school. They both are also bullied by there brothers. Ponyboy thinks he is getting bullied  by his brother but I think it is just love because he doesn't want to lose him like her did his parents. Greg gets bullied from his older brother who is a really big idiot. Ponyboy and Greg are both the narrator of the story. They are both really big dreamers.


     So now I have told you about the two boys. I have told you their differences and their similarities. So now you should go and find out more.

     Jason Statham as Darry Curtis

   Darry  Curtis is a twenty year old kid who lives with his two younger brothers SodaPop, ad Ponyboy because there parents died in a car accident. Darry is the oldest "Greaser" at the age of twenty. Darry is very strong and very intelligent. Darry's real name is Darrel but the "Greasers" like to call him Darry. I have chosen Jason Statham to play Darry because he looks like he is intelligent and very strong. You just might need to put a wig on him because Darry has nice dark brown hair.

       David Henry as Johnny Cade

        Johnny Cade is 16 and  another "Greaser". Johnny always gets beat up, and jacked by the Soc's because the Soc's are the enemy of the Greaser's. The last time  Johnny got beat up by Soc's his friends from the Greasers found him half conscious. Johnny Cade is scared of his own shadow. I have chosen David Hery to play Johnny Cade because i think they both look alike and I think he will fit the part great.

          

Matthew Maconahay as Two-Bit-Matthews

 Two-Bit Is one of the "Greasers". He is famous for shoplifting. Two-Bits real name is Keith. He likes to smart off the cops. Two-Bit thinks that life is just a joke all the time. I have picked Matthew Maconahay to play a Two-Bit Matthews because he looks like a "Greaser" with his slicked back hair and style. Matthew Maconahay also looks like a bad kid who would lip off the cops.

Dylan Sprouse as PonyBoy Curtis

PonyBoy Curtis is the youngest kid out of the "Greasers". PonyBoy is 14 years old and he is a very smart kid. PonyBoy has an amazing IQ but sometimes he doesen't use his head before thinking. Ponyboy is living wiht his two brothers Soda and Darry. PonyBoy is living with his brother because his parents died in a car accident. PonyBoy has a light colour of brown for his hair. I have picked Dyaln Sprouse to play PonyBoy because he is young has a light brown hair colour.

The Greasers

Paul Walker to Soda pop Curtis

       Is Pony Boy and Darry Curtises brother. Soda pop is a good looking guy and has a charm for the ladies with his brother envies him for. Soda pop gets drunk on plain living because he is always happy. His brother Pony Boy envies him for his charm and says that he always  understands him. I have picked Paul Walker to play Sode pop because he is good looking and looks like he has a charm and looks like he gets drunk on plain living.       

Vindesel as Steve Randle

Steve Randle is Soda Pops best buddy since grade school. They both get along and are great friends to eachother. Steve is 17 years old. Steve is a very cockey guy sometimes. Steve is very good with cars and likes to work with them. I have chosen Vindeasel as Steve Cause he looks like he is a "Greaser". I also picked him because he is in alot of car movies where he builds them so I think he will fit it fine.

The Greasers

            Kellan Lutz as Dally Winston

Dally Winston

                 Dally Winston is part of the Greaser gang. He is a "greaser". Dally is one of the more tougher type ion the Greaser gang. Dally has light brown hair. Dally is meaner, colder, tougher, and stronger than the others in the greasers. I have chosen Kellan Lutz to play Dally Winston Because he looks like he is cold, strong, tough, and  mean. He also has the light brown hair and the looks of Dally.

                  

               You’re Honour

                      I'm here today stating the incident that my daughter was involved in. I'm her mother. Dawn Marie is my fourteen year old daughter that committed suicide because of three girls who bullied her. One week from today my daughter committed suicide. My son found her in her closet. And she hanged herself in her closet with the dog leash. Your Honour it was a fine day when my daughter hanged herself. Well it was a fine day till then. When my daughter hanged herself she left a note and the note said " mom I'm being bullied by three girls and there is no way out for me".

              Your Honour I don't know what these girls all said. I know they called her names and bullied her but they probably did other things to her that she never told me. I loved my daughter very much and to make it worse my son found her and not me. My son feels very sad and lonely now with not having a older sister by his side every day. I have been feeling terrible a lot and i feel very lonely. I know i have a son at home but not having my older daughter that always was happy never I down unless something bad happen to her. But i guess this must have brought her down a lot.

                         Your Honour I think the right punishment for her should be jail and probation. The reason for that is in jail they have to smarten up or they will get beat. They need to stop being bullies or they will get bullied there. At jail I think she will learn her lesson easier than if she just had to have things taken away from her and do some work. Because in life that's what you are going to have to do because when you get older you are going to work in an everyday life. See if you just get things taken away from you some people don't care because they know they will get them back but see if you go to jail you will have to learn your lesson there and not just get everything you want.

                             Your Honour that is the one thing I ask you to do. And that is to put them in jail. If you don't put her in jail I would love to know why. I think all these girls need it because they are not learning anything. I know I forgave them but just me saying it is fine doesn’t mean it is. Right then I thought it wasn't totally there fault but now I know it is now. If you don't put these girls in jail i don't know if they will learn anything. These girls need prison to learn their lesson. Because the punishments they are supposed to get will not teach them anything.  Your Honour I told you what I want not just to make me happy but so these girls will learn their lesson so I hope you will take my word.

                                            The article is called ''Dead Girl’s Mother Hugs Bullying B.C Teenager''. Written by Ian Bailey. The main idea of the story is that bullying can take people’s lives, ruin people’s lives, and families can lose loved ones all cause some kids will think they are cool bullying. Also even though you bullied a kid who committed suicide doesn't mean that their parents will hate you, won't talk to you, and will want to bully you back. Some parents will just be like ''it is OK as long as you never bully again''. All because of that one, two, or more girls that bullied the one girl more than 10 or even more then that were hurt. Now that you know what bullying can do I think the writer’s statement was that even if you bully doesn't mean every one hates you.

      CONCLUSION

           My conclusion is that the egg would only float on the side that was more denser. The reason for that is cause  water is dence but not dence enough to hold the egg. There for you needed to add something elce to it so it would be dence enough to hold the egg.
Ex. Water +sugar = hold egg
Ex.Water + salt = hold egg
Ex.Water + baking soda =hold egg
Ex.Water = Not holding egg

1. What do you think of your progress report?  What are you happy with?  Why are you not happy with? 
2. What can you do during term 2 in order to improve your progress report?

             Yes I'm happy with some of my marks. The things I'm happy with are some of my marks are in the 80's. And that some of my marks are good but I don't think that I tried my hardest this term I thought that it would be easy like grade 7 but it isn't. When I' taking test I think that I will get a good mark. But I'm wrong.  Accept for some of them where I get good marks and I get in the 90's. Some of my other marks I'm OK with but I think I can do better if I study cause in grade 7 the test were easy and I thought that grade 8 wouldn't be much harder. But now that I'm in grade 8 I look back at grade 7 and Mr.Catton said that we should of learned alot of this stuff in grade7 so I think that could be a problem for some of us because when we need to learn other stuff we don't have a long time to study the new topic we are on and then after a week of learning we have our test and that is my problem on some of my tests.


       Some of my marks I'm so not happy with. with my marks I got in this report card I thought that I did HORRIBLE!. my marks last year are no where near what I wanted this year. I thought that this year I would be in the 90's and above but I'm not I get good grades in math but that is cause it is my best subject but besides that I have horrible marks in most of my other subjects that I wish I will improve on next term.

                      What do you think people consider about you when they first meet you?
         What I first consider before anything and I know it is that I'm short. They might think that I'm not shy cause i love to talk. They might think that I'm active because in gym classes and recess I like to run around and play.


         How would you respond to the question who are you?

         I would reply I'm Ryan McDonald born May 23 1997. My favorite sport is Hockey. My favorite hockey team is the Calgary Flames! I also enjoy playing basketball and Volleyball. my favorite food is hot wings. My favorite meal is hot wings with rice. My favorite fast food place is Genesis(Chinese food).

        Daniel's Mother. There are so many questions I want to ask you. the first question I want to ask you is how did it feel  Auschwitz? the reason I'm asking this question is because knowing you are going to a death camp what is going through your mind at this time?   My next question is what do you feel like doing to the Germans when you seen them surrender when the Allie's came to help you, your friends, family, and others
out? The reason I'm asking this question is cause I want to no if you felt like killing the Germans?  My next question is how did you feel when you found out you were free from all the horror and smell of death? The reason I'm asking this question is because I want to know what you are thinking for example I want to know if you were thinking is your family lived through this.

      My next question for you is how did you feel when you found out that your family was still alive and you were not the only one? The reason I'm asking this question is because i want to know if you were really happy or thought it was a lie that your family was a lie? Are you happy that you lived through it when you were very sick? When you seen your family when you and all the other people were freed from the death camp what were your thoughts seeing your husband and children again? This question might be the hardest one i would ask her and it is how would you live not seeing your husband for years and days?


  When you seen the Germans cleaning up all the bodies what did you feel like? The reason I'm asking this question is that I would not be able to look or bare to even think if that was me....so I want to know what did you feel like? When most of your friends were killed and you thought you had nobody to be with in your life what were you thinking? I want to know this because with nobody in your life i want to know if you felt like you wanted to die?
