CONCLUSION
My conclusion is that the egg would only float on the side that was more denser. The reason for that is cause water is dence but not dence enough to hold the egg. There for you needed to add something elce to it so it would be dence enough to hold the egg.
Ex. Water +sugar = hold egg
Ex.Water + salt = hold egg
Ex.Water + baking soda =hold egg
Ex.Water = Not holding egg
